UPGRADE YOUR HEALTH GAME IN AN INSTANT WITH THESE SIMPLE RECIPE SWAPS

If you are just getting started on your health journey and looking for a quick fix - I'm sorry to tell you there isn't one, BUT, there are some simple swaps you can make to any of your favorite recipes to make them "healthier," which over time will make YOU healthier. Making minor tweaks here and there and swapping things out will add up over time, and is the only answer to long term health. Before you know it, it will all be second nature.


What better time to try them out than around the holidays when cooking and baking are on the top of your list? I've also linked my favorite brands for you for easy ordering!


1. SWAP CANOLA OIL FOR AVOCADO OIL


2. REPLACE BROWN SUGAR & CANE SUGAR WITH COCONUT SUGAR


3. REPLACE CORNSTARCH WITH ARROWROOT POWDER


4. REPLACE DAIRY MILK FOR NUT MILK


4. REPLACE SOY SAUCE or TAMARI WITH COCONUT AMINOS


5. REPLACE AN EGG(S) WITH A FLAX EGG(S)


6. SUBSTITUTE HALF & HALF --- Replace with one part coconut cream and one part alternative milk such as almond milk or rice milk


7. REPLACE BUTTER with VEGAN BUTTER or OLIVE OIL* (depending on the recipe)


8. SWAP OUT WHOLE WHEAT PASTA for BROWN RICE PASTA or CASSAVA FLOUR PASTA


9. REPLACE FLOUR with GLUTEN FREE ALL PURPOSE FLOUR or CASSAVA FLOUR


10. REPLACE CORN TORTILLAS with CASSAVA FLOUR TORTILLAS
